and I have read studies that associate a lack of methylation with cancer, there
are studies that find cancers express high levels of methylation. Methylation

even a patent filed by Baylor University on methylation depletion as a cancer

A. We have not seen enough human research regarding the
administration of methyl donors in varying dosages over long periods of time to
know how they would influence formation of cancer. Perhaps different methyl
donors have different influences. Perhaps the dosage could make a significant
difference. There are too many unknowns at this point to know for certain how
the use of methyl donors taken as supplements influence cancer prevention or
formation. For the time being it is a good idea for those who take methyl donor
supplements on a daily basis to take breaks from use for instance one week a
month.

bottles of dietary supplement products because of a safety risk. The supplements
would be destroyed because they contain unapproved food additives and-or new
dietary ingredients for which there is inadequate information to assure they do
not present a significant or unreasonable risk of illness or injury. The
products -- distributed by LG Sciences LLC of Brighton, Mich. -- were marketed
for use by body builders and distributed on the Internet and in retail stores
under the names "Methyl 1-D," "Methyl 1-D XL" and "Formadrol Extreme XL." "The
FDA has no scientific information concerning the safety of the condemned
products or their ingredients and, thus, cannot determine whether they represent
a hazard to consumers," the agency said. "Under the circumstances, consumers who
use or have used the products should discuss their use with their health care
professionals." The ingredients in Formadrol Extreme include:Anti-Aromatase
Complex 27mg: Adrostan-3-alpha-ol-170-one, Adrostan-3-beta-ol-170-one, SERM
Complex 178mg:Ellagic Acid, Ginger Extract, Piperine and Quercetin.
