My husband is on dialysis and as a side effect has arteriosclerosis. He has tried a supplement called VitalzymSEB from Australia which is claiming to dissolve fibrin, help with plaques etc. Do you have any information about the effects of Serrapeptase and Nattokinase with Dialysis patients? Our experience was that after taking 2-3 capsules a day for 2-3 weeks blood oozed out of the necrotic wounds of the toes. Since the cause of these wounds is the blocked arteries that don't bring blood to the toes, it seemed like good sign to us. Our nephrologist does not know about the supplement. The other symptom we noticed after increasing the dosage was fatigue and since the heart is enlarged we discontinued the medication for fear of worsening. He is also taking 100 mg aspirin daily after heart bypass operation.
